-Bright cup, berry acidity, green apple.
This coffee comes from the Mama Cata farm, located in Altoquiel, a micro region in Boquete, Panama’s most famous coffee region, and named after Mama Cata, the family matriarch.
José David Garrido bought the farm in 1997 and repeatedly featured well in the Best of Panama coffee competitions.
The Garrido family’s farm is very well equiped technologically, for both processing – they have their own mill – and data analysing on varietal, soil composition, health of the lot, production and so on.
With the Geisha blend we offer a stunning espresso bean; this Mama Cata seems to be more prefered for filter brewing. The light body and fresh after taste all contribute to the bright and clean impression the coffee leaves.
The varietal is a combination of Caturra, Catuai, Geisha and Typica. Yes complex.
The beans have a SHB (stricktly hard bean) label and are fully washed and sun dried.
The soil is Black Volcanic and between 1550 and 1700 meters above sea level.
